Kabang, a hero dog who underwent reconstructive surgery in California, has been cleared to return to her family in the Philippines. After being struck by the motorcycle in December 2011, Kabang's amazing survival was covered around the world, with people donating funds for nearly 8 months of treatments through a private organisation called Care for Kabang.

In March 2012 the operations to reconstruct Kabang's jaw began. On May 28 she received a health certificate that allows her to travel back to the Phillipines, so she can now return home to be with her family. Report by Laurie Blake.
